AdminA young Aston Villa fan was left disappointed after approaching Alejandro Garnacho in the hope of getting the Manchester United loanee’s autograph.
The youngster had brought along a Topps card and appeared eager to have it signed by Garnacho. However, the moment did not go as he had hoped, with the Villa forward seemingly walking past without signing it.
The young supporter was then given an unexpected lift when Tammy Abraham stepped in.
The experienced striker noticed the situation and took the time to sign the youngster’s card, turning what had initially been a disappointing moment into a memorable one.
Footage of the incident has since attracted attention among supporters, with Abraham receiving praise for taking the opportunity to make the young fan’s day.
For supporters, moments like this can mean far more than a simple autograph. Meeting a footballer and having something signed can become a lasting memory, particularly for young fans attending matches in the hope of getting closer to their heroes.
While Garnacho’s decision not to stop has sparked discussion, Abraham’s intervention ensured the youngster did not leave empty-handed.
The Topps card may now carry a different significance for the young Villa supporter, having been signed by Abraham after an unexpected encounter outside the spotlight.
