Aston Villa appear to have received a major double injury boost during the international break, with two sidelined players travelling with Unai Emery’s squad to Spain.
Villa have headed to Spain for a training camp while the Premier League takes a brief pause.
Emery’s team, without those away on international duty, will face Sevilla at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán on Friday evening, with kick-off scheduled for 7:30pm.
Among the travelling group are Brian Madjo and Leon Goretzka, both of whom have missed matches through injury this season.
Madjo enjoyed an encouraging pre-season before scoring in Villa’s UEFA Super Cup defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
The striker had been expected to return to full training during the international break, and his presence in Spain suggests his recovery is progressing as hoped.

Goretzka, meanwhile, suffered a knee problem in training shortly after joining Villa. The Germany international previously explained the situation, stating: “My body has reacted to the increased workload after my time away from the pitch.
It’s frustrating, but I need this short break now to come back at full strength.
“I’ll use the coming days, including the international break, to recover fully and I’ll be back ready to fight and give everything for you and for Villa.”
Their involvement in the training camp will encourage Emery, with both players potentially available for Villa’s Premier League meeting with Brentford at Villa Park on October 10.
