AdminAlejandro Garnacho could be heading for an Aston Villa exit, with former Villa scout Bryan King predicting that the winger may eventually leave England altogether.
The 22-year-old joined Villa from Chelsea this summer on loan, with a conditional obligation to buy worth around £42million next summer.
However, his start at Villa Park has been difficult, with Garnacho failing to get off the bench in the club’s last four matches across all competitions.
Unai Emery has already admitted that the Argentine has slipped down the pecking order, leaving his long-term future increasingly uncertain.
King believes Garnacho’s attitude could ultimately determine where his career goes next.
“For me, he’s a player who’s been in England. He’s been all right in flurries, but he hasn’t been consistently brilliant,” King told Football Insider.
“I think he’s a player who’s destined for France or Italy or Spain or even South America. I just think his attitude is all wrong. He’s a player who never looks as though he’s enjoying football and he should be bursting with it.
“Can you imagine the money he’s on? He should be playing for nothing. Look at the goal he scored against Everton. Remember when he hit that volley? World class, but he’s never been consistent.”
Garnacho did provide a positive response last week, scoring the winner in a friendly against Southampton. However, he now needs to impress Emery in training and force his way back into contention.
