Al Hilal have already secured Crysencio Summerville from West Ham United following their relegation and are now turning their attention towards another Premier League star.
Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins has emerged as a major target for the Saudi Pro League side, with the 30-year-old increasingly linked with a move away from Villa Park this summer.
Watkins has made more than 270 appearances for Villa and played a key role in their Europa League triumph last season.
The England international still has two years remaining on his contract, but Al Hilal are reportedly exploring the possibility of bringing him to the Kingdom Arena.
Fenerbahce previously showed interest in Watkins but were discouraged by his price tag.
Al Hilal, meanwhile, are understood to have received encouragement from the striker over a potential move, leaving negotiations between the clubs as the major hurdle.
However, according to Sky Switzerland, Al Hilal cannot make a formal offer until they resolve Karim Benzema’s situation.

Benzema has one year remaining on his contract and has reportedly been identified as a priority departure.
Al Hilal are considering a financial settlement with the former Real Madrid striker, although his salary arrangements could complicate the process.
Benzema has scored ten goals and provided five assists in 14 appearances for Al Hilal.
Unai Emery is keen to replace Watkins if he leaves, with Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson reportedly among his preferred options. Villa will hope the situation develops quickly as they plan for the remainder of the transfer window.
