AdminLeicester City manager Russell Martin has stressed the importance of turning performances into victories as the Foxes look to get their campaign back on track.
The City boss acknowledged that the opening weeks of a season can be unpredictable, particularly when a squad undergoes significant changes.
However, he believes his players have handled the transition well and insists they must now focus on collecting more points.
Martin has made it clear that Leicester need to start winning games consistently if they are to achieve their targets this season.
With expectations high at the King Power Stadium, the manager knows that results will be crucial in determining whether his side can make the progress supporters are hoping for.
Reflecting on the challenges of the opening fixtures, Martin pointed to the changes within the squad and praised the way his players have adapted to the situation.
‘The first 7 or 8 games can be a bit crazy. There’s been so much change, but I like the way everyone has navigated that’
Despite his satisfaction with how the squad has responded, the Leicester manager knows there is still work to be done.
He believes the team must remain committed to their approach while improving their results in the coming weeks.
‘We have to stay on the right path and pick up more points than we have’
Martin also underlined the need for immediate improvement, making it clear that winning matches must now become the priority as Leicester aim to move closer to their objectives.
‘We have to start picking up wins now to get to where we want to be’
