Leicester City have received a major boost ahead of their League One clash against Doncaster Rovers, with Conor Chaplin available for selection after missing the club’s last seven matches through injury.
The 29-year-old has endured a frustrating start to life at the King Power Stadium, having suffered an injury during pre-season before sustaining another setback in the goalless draw against MK Dons at the end of August.
Chaplin made his debut in Leicester’s 3-1 defeat to former club Ipswich Town in the EFL Cup before starting against MK Dons.
However, he was forced off in the first half after picking up another injury, leaving Russell Martin without the forward for several weeks.
The Leicester boss had suggested Chaplin could return for last week’s meeting with Peterborough United, but the attacker was ultimately left out of the squad.
Martin has now confirmed that Chaplin will be available for Saturday’s encounter against Doncaster, offering the Foxes a welcome boost as they look to improve their struggling League One campaign.

Asked if this week will be the game he finally returns, Martin said: “Yes, it is. We’ll assess Will Smallbone. It might be both of them, but it’ll definitely be Conor.”
Martin also revealed that Jayden Joseph remains unavailable, while Christian McFarlane is hoping to return from the injury he sustained against Stevenage in the Jersey Mike’s Trophy.
“Hoping to have Christian McFarlane back as well,” Martin added.
Leicester currently sit 17th in League One, just one point above the relegation zone, and are desperate to secure only their third league victory of the season against Doncaster.
