I will cut my salary by up to 50% if we lose tomorrow” 😱😱😱: West Ham star makes this unbelievable promise to the fans ahead of tomorrow’s match

West Ham United’s looming relegation crisis could spark a major summer battle for one of their January signings, with growing uncertainty now surrounding the striker’s future at the club.

The Argentine forward only arrived at the London Stadium in January in a deal worth around £25.5 million (€30m), with hopes of establishing himself in the Premier League ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

However, just a few months later, the situation has changed dramatically as West Ham edge closer to the Championship.

Fresh reports from Brazil claim Taty Castellanos could now seek a quick exit if relegation becomes official.

According to ESPN Brazil journalist Bruno Andrade, every West Ham player has a clause in their contract which would trigger a 50 per cent wage reduction if the club go down. The clause is automatic and cannot be negotiated, immediately altering salaries for next season.

That development has reportedly unsettled Castellanos, who is already assessing potential alternatives before the new campaign begins. Fulham are understood to be monitoring the situation closely.

Perhaps more significantly, the Argentine is now believed to be open to a move to South America, particularly Brazil. Flamengo remain long-term admirers, while Palmeiras are also credited with previous interest.

Should West Ham’s relegation be confirmed, Castellanos could actively push to leave the club this summer.
