West Ham United captain Jarrod Bowen has apologised to supporters following the club’s relegation from the Premier League, though he stopped short of confirming whether he will remain at the London Stadium for a season in the Championship.
The 29-year-old forward, who has been linked with a summer move to Liverpool FC, still has four years remaining on the long-term contract he signed after West Ham’s Europa Conference League triumph in Prague in 2023.

Bowen, who joined from Hull City AFC six years ago, has established himself as one of the club’s most important players, making more than 200 Premier League appearances and earning recognition with England.
In an emotional message posted on Instagram, the West Ham skipper admitted the pain of relegation while praising the supporters for standing by the team throughout a difficult campaign.
“It’s hard to post something like this when all you’re feeling is embarrassment and pain.
“I could write loads trying to explain where it all went wrong this season, but honestly, what you deserve from me is an apology. Winning that trophy in Prague was the best night of my career. Sunday was the worst.
“To the fans, you didn’t let us down once. The support home and away never changed, even when things weren’t good enough from us on the pitch. We should have given you more. You deserved more.
“One thing I know about this club is that it has the desire and fight to bounce back from this. This club belongs in the Premier League and deserves to be back there as soon as possible.”
Despite growing speculation over his future, Bowen refused to be drawn into discussions about a possible departure when speaking after Sunday’s match.
“It’s still very, very raw. Talking about futures is disrespectful to the club, the fans, everything like that.”
