To Be Honest 😱😱: Jamie Vardy Has Revealed the Unbelievable Reason Why He Will Not Return to Leicester City — This Is the surprised Reason He gave

Jamie Vardy has ruled out the possibility of a sentimental return to boyhood club Sheffield Wednesday, insisting he cannot see himself heading back to Hillsborough despite ongoing speculation surrounding his future.

The veteran striker is currently weighing up his next move after becoming a free agent following Cremonese’s relegation from Serie A.

With Wednesday preparing for life in League One, reports had linked the former Leicester City forward with a surprise return to the club that released him as a teenager.

However, speaking on his podcast Jamie Vardy’s Having A Party, the 39-year-old dismissed the idea and suggested that chapter of his career remains firmly closed.

When asked about the possibility of a Wednesday return, Vardy replied: “In short, no. It’s one of them things, I’ve always said that once I was let go then that chapter was kind of…shut.

That’s just me, that’s how I am. It wasn’t meant to be so it’s never meant to be, kind of thing.”

Presenter Manish Bhasin suggested such a move would complete a remarkable full-circle story, but Vardy was unconvinced.

“I just can’t see it happening, to be honest.”

Vardy’s career has been anything but ordinary. After leaving Wednesday, he climbed through the non-league ranks with Stocksbridge Park Steels, FC Halifax Town and Fleetwood Town before Leicester signed him in 2012.

He went on to score 200 goals in 500 appearances, helping the Foxes win the Premier League title in one of football’s greatest underdog stories.
