AdminWest Ham United could be facing another significant departure behind the scenes following the recent exit of Maximilian Hahn, with growing uncertainty now surrounding the future of Antonio Tramontano.
The Italian scouting and football operations specialist only arrived at the London Stadium in April 2025, but reports suggest his time in east London could already be drawing to a close.
Since joining the club, Tramontano has earned widespread recognition for his work in recruitment and football operations.
Having previously built experience with Fiorentina and in China, he arrived at West Ham with a strong reputation for implementing structured scouting systems, embracing data-led decision-making and modernising recruitment processes.
Speculation over his future intensified after a cryptic social media post in which he appeared to criticise football’s tendency to judge individuals by the clubs they have worked for rather than the achievements they have delivered.
The message was interpreted by many as a sign that a major career decision could be on the horizon.
Italian reports recently linked Tramontano with the Sporting Director position at Cremonese. The Serie A side were understood to be exploring a more progressive and data-driven football model following relegation, although they have since appointed Christian Botturi, who will officially take up the role on 1 July.
While no official announcement has been made, sources indicate West Ham would not prevent Tramontano from leaving should he decide to pursue a new opportunity.
