Gary O’Neil has warned Ipswich Town that they can expect a difficult test when Leicester City arrive, with the visitors determined to make their presence felt.

Leicester have made an encouraging start under Russell Martin and will be looking to build momentum when they face Ipswich on Tuesday.

O’Neil, however, believes his side must be ready for a competitive encounter against a Leicester team eager to prove themselves.

Speaking ahead of the game, O’Neil said Leicester will be determined to make the match uncomfortable for Ipswich and show exactly what they are capable of.

“Leicester will definitely come and test us on Tuesday,” O’Neil said.

The Ipswich boss also praised Martin and the quality available within the Leicester squad, insisting the fixture will provide a serious challenge.

“A good coach, good players, so it will be a real test. I expect Russ to do a fantastic job at Leicester”

With both teams looking to establish themselves and gain confidence, Tuesday’s meeting promises to be a closely fought contest.

O’Neil knows Leicester will arrive with plenty of motivation, while Martin will be hoping his players can continue their progress and deliver another strong performance.

The Leicester boss has already earned praise for his approach, but the trip to Ipswich will offer another opportunity to show that his side are ready for the demands ahead. Expect a fiercely contested battle from the opening whistle.
