AdminWith only eight games played and 38 more still to come, it may seem far too early to make bold predictions about the Championship. But Roy Keane has already seen enough to make a strong call on West Ham United captain Jarrod Bowen.
The former Manchester United captain has been impressed by what he has seen from Bowen since the start of the campaign, with the winger already showing signs of returning to his best form.
Bowen is not the only West Ham wide player making an impact. Manor Solomon and Edwin Austbø have also contributed goals and assists, giving Nuno Espírito Santo plenty of attacking options.
However, Keane’s prediction centres firmly on Bowen, who has been ranked as the best winger in the Championship by Football League World.
Their assessment was emphatic:
“The best winger in the division by a mile, and almost certainly the best player, Championship wide options don’t get better than Bowen, with this decision among the easiest we will ever make.”
Some West Ham supporters have criticised Bowen during recent matches, but his performances are beginning to remind everyone why he remains such an important figure at the club.
After the disappointment of relegation last season, Bowen appears to be finding his confidence again.
And if he reaches his top level, Keane believes there could be plenty more to come from the West Ham captain.
