🚨😱 UNBELIEVABLE! Johan Manzambi FINALLY Reveals Why He Chose Aston Villa Despite Newcastle United Agreement — His Explanation Surprised everyone 😱🔥🦁

Johan Manzambi has revealed his happiness with his move to Aston Villa after choosing the Premier League club ahead of interest from Newcastle United and several other sides.

The Switzerland international rose through SC Freiburg’s academy before spending two seasons with the first team. Last campaign, he impressed mainly as an attacking midfielder, registering seven goals and nine assists.

His form attracted Newcastle’s attention, with Eddie Howe’s side pushing hard for his signature. The Magpies reportedly agreed a €60m deal with Freiburg on July 9, but failed to reach an agreement with the player.

That opened the door for Aston Villa, who eventually completed a €70m deal for the 20-year-old on July 17.

Manzambi had suffered a knee injury at the World Cup and missed Switzerland’s matches against Colombia and Argentina. Despite spending 67 days on the sidelines, Villa pushed ahead with the deal.

He has since made three appearances for Unai Emery’s side, including his first start last weekend, when he scored in the 3-2 victory over Tottenham.

Speaking about his transfer, Manzambi said: “The plan worked out, I was happy with it. There are always a lot of rumours when you transfer, but you have to be careful what you believe.”

Reflecting on his goal, he added: “That goal was a dream come true,” Manzambi explained.
