West Ham United are prepared to part ways with Niclas Füllkrug this summer for what has been described in Germany as a “low fee”, with the club no longer viewing the striker as part of their long-term plans.
According to reports from Sky Sports Germany, the 33-year-old is expected to return to the London Stadium following a disappointing loan spell at AC Milan, where the Italian side have decided against triggering their €5 million option to sign him permanently.

It has been a miserable campaign for the experienced forward, who endured an injury-hit season that saw him miss significant stretches of action.
Relegation with West Ham, missing out on the Champions League and failing to secure a place in Germany’s World Cup squad only added to what has been labelled a “particularly bitter” year for the striker.
Despite being contracted until 2028, West Ham are reportedly keen to remove his wages from the books as they prepare for life in the Championship.
Füllkrug currently earns more than €3m gross annually, a figure the club are no longer willing to carry.
Interest in the striker is said to be growing across Europe and the MLS, with clubs in Italy, Spain and Germany all monitoring the situation.
Werder Bremen are among the sides considering a move, and initial talks have already taken place.
Reports in Germany also claim West Ham could even sanction a free transfer through a severance agreement if it helps facilitate his departure.
