Just in 😱😱: Leicester City have made their final decision on Andy King’s position at the club — this is the final decision they have made on him.

Leicester City are continuing their preparations for the new Championship season following the appointment of Russell Martin as the club’s new head coach.

The former Southampton manager has only just arrived at the King Power Stadium and work is already underway behind the scenes as plans are put in place for pre-season.

With several decisions still to be made regarding the club’s coaching structure, supporters are eagerly awaiting further announcements from Filbert Way.

One decision, however, has already been settled. Andy King will remain part of Leicester City’s first-team coaching set-up despite the managerial change.

The former Foxes midfielder, one of the most successful players in the club’s history, is expected to continue in his current role as first-team coach.

His future had been the subject of some speculation following Martin’s arrival, but the club have decided to retain the highly respected former player.

King’s knowledge of Leicester and his strong connection with the supporters make him a valuable figure within the dressing room.

Having spent his entire playing career with the Foxes, he understands the standards and expectations associated with the club.

Meanwhile, Martin is still finalising the rest of his backroom team. The 39-year-old is expected to bring in several trusted members of staff as he begins implementing his ideas ahead of the new campaign.

With pre-season fast approaching, Leicester are keen to have the coaching structure in place as quickly as possible.

For now, though, Andy King’s position remains secure as the club enters a new era under Martin.
