Leicester City are preparing for a significant summer rebuild, with at least two new strikers high on the club’s list of priorities.
A dismal run of form in 2026 has dragged the Foxes firmly into a Championship relegation scrap, a situation worsened by a six-point deduction for breaching financial regulations.
The club has also confirmed losses of £71.1 million for the 2024/25 season. Despite that, Leicester remain adamant they will face no further sanctions and insist they are compliant with Profitability and Sustainability Rules.
Should survival be secured, change is inevitable. Leicester are expected to continue their policy of selling a key asset each year, with Abdul Fatawu attracting interest from both Premier League clubs and promotion-chasing sides in the division.
Patson Daka is also likely to depart, prompting the need for reinforcements in attack, alongside additions at full-back and in goal.
Recruiting strikers is rarely straightforward, but several names have emerged as viable options. Elie Youan, out of contract at Hibernian this summer, could represent a smart free transfer.
The 26-year-old has shown flashes of quality, particularly during spells with Hibs and St. Gallen, contributing 12 goals and 11 assists in 53 appearances.
Matthew Dennis, currently at Notts County, has also caught the eye after a bright start to the season, while Norwegian forward Tobias Lauritsen offers a more physical presence.
Standing at 196cm, he has registered 11 goals in the Eredivisie this term and could provide a useful focal point in attack.
