Leicester City manager Russell Martin knows his side must respond quickly after their humiliating 4-0 defeat to Oxford United at the King Power Stadium.

The result ended an encouraging run against Ipswich Town, MK Dons and Plymouth, leaving the Foxes under pressure ahead of this weekend’s trip to Stockport County.

“We will be better for it. We have a week now and we have to make sure we put it right next week.”

Stockport will provide a serious test. Jim McNulty’s side sit third in League One after three wins from their opening five matches, including a 4-0 demolition of Wigan Athletic.

Martin is expected to make changes, with Warren O’Hora a strong candidate to come into the starting XI. The defender joined Leicester from Hibernian on deadline day after previously working under Martin at MK Dons.

“I’ve worked with Warren before, so I know,” Martin said. “And he’s done the work before, so that helps a lot.”

The Leicester boss also revealed O’Hora is ready for the challenge after playing regularly for Hibernian during their European campaign.

“Warren’s played a lot of games already because Hibs were embarking on a European campaign,” Martin said. “So I think he’s played nine or 10 games already, so Warren’s in a really good place.”

With defensive changes likely, O’Hora could provide the experience Leicester desperately need at Edgeley Park.
